Hotel am See in Ammerland

It was very nice, the hotel is right on the lake. The hotel boss was very friendly, we felt comfortable

Old and not really well maintained. Thick layer of dust on picture frame above bed. Breakfast average. In many GOOD guest houses more varied.

Evil a lot of fun and perfect for couple or montage, family holidays etc

My wife and I were there for the first time today. All tables were reserved and only on request the waiter told us that you can only sit down if you eat. The beer garden was empty except for a table. The food was just like that In general, somehow missing everything. With a few handles would be again sizable and the kitchen would need someone bissi what can in my eyes. But that is a matter of taste. I will not go there despite the beautiful location right on the lake and can it does not recommend.Leider ...

Pleasant hotel with a great view of the lake. And price-performance doesn't get any better! Rooms are clean and tidy!

We stayed overnight on the home tour there. We were already there 8 years ago. The rooms are not the most modern, but large, comfortable and clean. The beer garden was unfortunately closed. (But also had rain) But the view is very nice and I still remember how we sat by the water back then. Breakfast was great too. So for us as a stopover it was perfectly fine and I don't quite understand the bad reviews. Of course not the newest hotel and a shame with the food as I have read, but in my opinion 3 stars should be included just because of the rooms, the breakfast and the location.

A bit down ... Location top ... service not good

Poor service,old equipment, waiter looking angry and not greeting at all.toilets made in 70”s,no recodtruction of the whole hotel and restaurant afterwards sofar. The only positive was the free parking for guests and a beutiful view from the terrace.

We were not there because of the bad reviews. Why still a rating? Because it is the owner of this hotel to "owe" that there will be no landing for the shipping on Lake Starnberg in Ammerland in early 2019. Strange but true.

We were not in the hotel, but in the adjoining beer garden. This is typical Bavarian and quaint. The food is simple and hardly any choice. We were not very friendly. Only the man at the cash register was a bit more talkative. The toilets are old, but clean.

Lovely place for a meal and to ogle the beautifully clear waters.

One of the most beautiful places on the lake! But .... by far the worst food on the lake and the worst service. Children eat only if adults eat something and there is a place on the lake only if something is ordered for dinner. Unfortunately, the hosts are no longer needed .... really a pity. Could be a top location.

Unrenovated but finely situated Lakeside hotel, good value if you treasure scenery and swimming over creature comforts or status validation.

Great location but the rest ...no go very old ....breakfast ok Coffee terrible ....and you need to check out at 10 am ....they must be from the 1900 hundrets ....even when i asked ohhhh no all hotels do like this ....hahahaha well i have been traveling for 26 years and i have not seen a hotel with 10 am check out .....no go for me ;-((

On the terrace you can only sit, if you ordered something to eat. The tables on the terrace were empty at this time of day and season. Hotel looks from the outside relatively run down.

This place gets 5 stars. Here is very old. Everything looks a bit worn and the staff no 20 more. But this cookie has a lot! Charm perfect location on the lake and you could sit forever. I like this wonderful beer garden.

Not recommendable. Past hotel / restaurant. Prices are not at all about quality. 2 cakes and two cafe 17 €. You can not even get your hands dry on the toilet. Flop and very embarrassing

With such a jerky staff I have not met in my life. If you do not order lunch, you can no longer order coffee.

Wanted to have a drink after a bike ride. Several tables by the water were free, but these are reserved for customers who want to order food. We were rudely pointed out. However, the food of those sitting by the water looked very good.

A really nice place for a restaurant, fantastic location right on the lake. View of the lake from the beer garden. Service unfortunately not really exemplary. Food a joke considering the price. Salad consists of some fresh green and ready-made salad from the glass rounded off with a strange dressing. The big disappointment was the meat, unfortunately it already had a strange smell. And the taste has also confirmed the same assumption. The complaint was dismissed with the excuse that it was probably caused by the cheese. Which is probably a sufficient excuse for most people. Just not for customers who come from the trade and are very familiar with it with meat. Since I returned the food after two bites, it was not charged. However, not a word of apology or the question of whether it should be something else. For my part, a damning verdict and indictment for the company. It is a shame that this great location cannot be combined with high quality food. Since the price suggests a little more. Will recommend this restaurant or visit it again yourself.

A quiet, comfortable place right on the lake. Management was very kind and helpful.

The server was rude. We wanted to sit by the water, however all those seats were written as reserved. But when people came they were allowed to sit. The food menu was restricted. I wanted to order a Barvarian apple pancake but was told that it could only be purchased after buying a meal. Their loss. It's a shame because the view is very nice. But I will never come back here again.
